Pari murder case: SC to hear mother’s plea on April 19

Nayagarh: The Supreme Court (SC) will hear the plea of Pari’s mother seeking a CBI probe into the alleged murder of the 5-year-old girl at Jadupur village of Nayagarh district, on April 19.

In January, mother of the deceased had moved the Supreme Court demanding CBI probe into the incident. Following this, the apex court had asked the Odisha Government to submit a reply in this connection.

In February, a video of the accused, a minor, confessing to his crime had surfaced where he was seen confessing before a cop that he had attempted to rape the minor girl. He also revealed that though he strangled Pari to death but could not rape her.
