‘Ama Odisha’ collects 3700 units of blood on Yuva Swabhiman Diwas

Ama Odisha collected a whopping 3700 units of blood through a statewide blood donation camps across the state on Monday on the occasion of Yuva Swabhiman Diwas

Ama Odisha Blood DonationThe Yuva Swabhiman Diwas is held every year to mark the birthday of the chairman of Ama Odisha and editor of Sambad, Soumya Ranjan Patnaik.

A total of 3698 persons donated blood at 53 camps across eight zones in Odisha.

Sambalpur zone recorded the highest collection of 1443 units of blood followed by 556 units in Baleswar, 462 units in Cuttack, 365 units in Rourkela zone, 275 units in Jeypore, 274 units in Bhubaneswar, 184 units in Angul and 139 units in Brahmapur.

Chairman of Ama Odisha Soumya Ranjan Patnaik congratulated the blood donors on the occasion.

It may be mentioned that Ama Odisha had collected 3413 units of blood on this day last year.
