Another 4180 test COVID-19 positive in Odisha; local contacts 1714

Bhubaneswar: Another 4180 persons in Odisha tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours taking the state’s tally to 1,71,341.

Of the total fresh cases detected from 30 districts, 2466 have been reported from different quarantine centres while remaining 1714 are local contacts. Contact tracing and followup action is underway, said Information and Public Relation (I & PR ) Department.

Khordha continues to record highest fresh cases (688 ) followed by Cuttack (492) and Jajpur (184).

With the new cases, the number of active cases in the state rose to 37,140. However, 1,33,466 patients have recovered in the state so far.

It is pertinent to mention here that total 48,146 number of samples were tested in the state in the last 24 hours. So far 26,67,747 tests have been conducted in the state.
