ASO arrested by Odisha Vigilance for bribery in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: An Assistant Section Officer (ASO) was caught in the Vigilance net today, here for allegedly accepting bribes.

The accused has been identified as Dilip Kumat Bisoi posted as ASO in the office of Civil Engineer-in-Chief and was caught red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs. 8,000.

According to sources, Bisoi was apprehended when suborning the amount to grant a contractor’s licence to one Jatiranjan Dehury of Keonjhar.

The Vigilance officials arrested Bisoi and conducted a raid in his Bhubaneswar residence, as well.

A case has been registered and the accused forwarded to court.
