The district sessions court, Puri today, for the second time, postponed the hearing on the bail petition of 70-year old Saradhamani Mahapatra, the mother of the murdered former BJD councillor Talachhu Bhagaban Mohapatra alias Guna Singhari, in the case pertaining to the murderous assault on Odisha Law, Tourism and Culture minister Maheswar Mohanty on February 21.

The hearing on the bail petition was deferred to March 12, as the police failed to submit its case diary this time too.

Earlier, on March 4, the court had to defer its hearing on the bail petition for similiar reasons as the police had failed to submit its case diary as it did today.

Saradhamani was arrested by the police late on March 1 night.

She was booked under sections 307 and 120B of the IPC.
