“We will take out the Janasamparka Yatra between October 2 and November 2 this year. This will help the leaders of the party understand the issues of people. We will also publicize the welfare schemes of the State Government among the masses during the month-long programme,” said the convenor of the campaign and party Spokesperson Pratap Jena speaking to reporters today.

During the campaign, BJD leaders will highlight the achievements of the State Government and the alleged ‘central negligence’ towards the state.

Besides, the party will reach out to the people at grass-root level and present them its report card based on the promises made in the 2014 election manifesto.

In addition, the party will celebrate the 80th year celebration of formation of Odisha during the campaign.

The party recently asked its local units to observe Gopabandhu Jayanti on October 9 and Loknayak Jayprakash Jayanti on October 11 as part of its people connect programme.
