BJD to launch Ama Sahara, Ama Unnati programme from Aug

Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) President and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday said their party would launch ‘Ama Sahara, Ama Unnati’ (our city, our development) programme to connect with the people in urban areas.

The programme would be launched in line with ‘Ama Gaon, Ama Vikas’ (our village, our development) programme from August this year.

Addressing ministers, members of Parliament, legislators and party functionaries, Patnaik said the party would highlight the welfare programmes being undertaken by the state government through the programme.

He said all party functionaries would be involved in the Ama Sahara, Ama Unnati programme to reach out to the people.

“Through this, we should effectively counter the misinformation campaign by the opposition parties,” said the BJD President.

The party aims to counter the Opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which has launched ‘Mo Booth Sabuthu Majboot’ (My booth is the strongest) programmes in the state to connect with the people and highlight the welfare programmes of Narendra Modi-led central government.(IANS)
