BJD’s MLA candidate turns pallbearer, praised by Odisha CM

Jagatsinghpur: At a time when poll candidates are leaving no stone unturned during election campaign to garner support of public, BJD’s Paradip MLA candidate Sambit Routray, in an exemplary act, yesterday lent his support in carrying body of a person to cremation ground in Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur district.

While campaigning in Ranitola village under Tirtol block of the district, Routray came to know about the death of one Mohan Mohapatra in the locality. He immediately abandoned the campaign and reached the spot.

The MLA nominee of BJD then carried the body on his shoulders along with three others and made it reach the cremation ground.

Odisha Chief Minister and BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik has praised Routray describing him as a “true representative of people”.
