Body of man found floating in pond in Odisha Capital

Bhubaneswar: Panic gripped among residents in Laxmisagar area of Bhubaneswar when body of a person was found floating in a pond today evening.

Eyewitnesses said initially some locals spotted the body floating in Malihata pond in Laxmisagar area. The body appears to be of a man and has no clothes, the eyewitnesses added.

A local said identity of the body is yet to be ascertained as it has not been fished out of the pond.

Questions are being raised about the law and order situation in the Odisha Capital city as murder, loot and attack on people have almost become a daily affair. How can people feel safe in the city, asked a resident of Laxmisagar area.
