Balasore: Another MLA from Odisha’s Balasore tested positive for COVID-19 today, informed official sources.
Remuna legislator Sudhanshu Shekhar Parida was under home quarantine after coming in contact with Niligiri MLA, who had earlier tested positive for the virus.
“I was under home quarantine after my fellow MLA tested positive for COVID-19. My swab samples were collected on July 11,” said MLA Sudhanshu.
He will be admitted to a COVID hospital whereas contact tracing and active surveillance has already begun.
Worth mentioning, Parida is the third legislator from the state to have contracted the virus. Earlier, two MLAs from Nilagiri in Balasore and Salepur in Cuttack have tested positive for the virus.
