BSE Odisha uploads HSC exam admit cards online

The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha today uploaded the admit cards for the annual High School Certificate (HSC) examination-2016 to be held next month on internet. The candidates can download the hard copy of their admit cards by logging on to www.prestigeresults.in and www.indiaresults.in, board sources said.

As many as 6, 01, 389 students will be taking the annual examination beginning February 22. While 5, 63, 220 students are regular students, 26, 023 students are ex-regular students. Notably, a record number of students will be appearing the exams this year at 2882 centres across Odisha.

The School and Mass Education Department has issued strict guidelines for the officials for smooth conduct of the examination. As many as 325 nodal centres have been identified for safe keeping of question papers and answer sheets. These nodal centres will be kept under 24-hour police security.

The examination will start with First Language (Odiah/others) paper on February 22 followed by Second Language (English) on February 24, Third Language (Sanskrit/Hindi) on February 26, Mathematics on February 29, General Science on March 2 and Social Science on March 4.

The evaluation of answer sheets will be done from March 11 to 22 at 67 centres in the state.
