Bus service from Puri to other places of Odisha halted

Bus service from Puri to Cuttack and other places of Odisha was halted today as private bus staff of the pilgrim town resorted to a cease-work stir causing inconvenience for many commuters.

The Nilagiri Motor Employees Association has launched the strike over assault on a Puri bus staff at the Cuttack bus stand a few days ago.

The incident had taken place over an issue of bus halting duration at Puri and Cuttack bus stands.

Meanwhile, police have detained more than 20 bus staff following a scuffle between the two during the agitation.
