CBI raids SR Green House offices in Odisha, WB

Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) sleuths today conducting raids on the offices and residences of office bearers of M/s S R Green House Limited, a chit fund company that had duped gullible investors of crores in Odisha and neighbouring states.

The search operation is going on at 19 places, where the office of the chit fund company is operating, including one place in Odisha and rest in West Bengal.

“In the chit fund scam cases, searches are being conducted by CBI at 19 places in connection with investigation of case against the company S R Green House. Out of 19 places, searches are being conducted in one location in Odisha and rest in West Bengal. Case was registered on the orders of Supreme Court related to chit fund scam. Searches are being conducted at the residences of MD, Directors and offices of the ponzi company,” said a release from CBI spokesperson in New Delhi.

Offices of the firm in Balasore of Odisha and Kolkata of West Bengal are searched. CBI has seized many important documents during the raid, sources in the CBI said.

S R Green House Limited is among the list of 44 companies which has come under the CBI scanner as per directions of the Apex Court of India.
