Chhattisgarh man crushed to death under train wheels in Odisha

Kantabanji: The body of an elderly man was recovered from railway tracks near Bangomunda railway station in Titilagarh sub-division of Balangir district today.

The deceased has  been identified as Pyarelal Sagar, a resident of Bhilai in Chhattisgarh. He had come to Odisha to visit his relatives in Biripali village under Bangomunda police limits in Balangir district.

On receiving the information, Government Railway Police (GRP) officials reached the spot, recovered the body and later sent it to Kantabanji hospital for postmortem. After completion of postmortem, the body was handed over to his family members.

The GRP officials later confirmed the death caused by hitting of train. They further said inquiry is underway to find out which train caused the accident.
