Child abduction row: Odisha police clueless about the co-conspirator

Odisha Sun Times Bureau
Bhubaneswar, Mar 2:

Two days after a four-year-old boy was allegedly kidnapped from the Railway station at the Odisha capital, police are still clueless about the husband of prime accused, the co-conspirator.

Missing childMadhav Mishra, the husband of the main accused Shanti, is on the run since the incident came to fore, pointing finger to their involvement in the sensational case where a baby boy was kidnapped from Bhubaneswar railway station.

Madhav’s cell phone was switched off and gave a slip to the cops by the time it raided his house in Puri yesterday. The personnel are still on the mission raiding all possible hideouts to trace him.

Police arrested another young man yesterday in connection with the case. The wife of this man, claimed to have seen the accused woman taking the child with her.

Even though the police claim to have enough evidence in this kidnapping case, the child is yet to be found.

The police are, however, optimistic about drawing conclusion to the case once the culprits are nabbed.

It may be noted that, the child went missing from the waiting hall at the Railway station in Odisha capital late on Friday night when the child’s mother dozed. The matter came to light after the mother of the lost child Mamata Kamodia, a native of Nabarangpur, lodged a complaint with the GRP here.

Kamodia, who boarded the Nilachal Express from Harayana to Bhubaneswar with his son, was in the waiting hall at the station to catch connecting train to Koraput to reach her destination.

While she was asleep, she had left her son with a women sitting beside her to keep a watch on her child. But when she woke up after a while, she found that neither her child nor the woman was present inside the waiting hall. Sensing that the child has gone missing, Kamodia lodged a complaint with the GRP.
