Collector suspends 10 GPOs in Odisha’s Dhenkanal

Dhenkanal, July 30:

As many as 10 Gram Panchayat officers (GPOs) in Odisha’s Dhenkanal district have been placed under suspension for dereliction of duty.

According to reports, District Collector Roopa Roshan Sahoo today suspended the 10 GPOs of five blocks for failing to fulfill the target under Biju Pucca Ghar Yojana (BPGY) and Indira Awas Yojana (IAY).

The suspension orders were issued following the recommendation by the Project Director (PD) of District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) for delay in constructing the houses.
