Coronavirus scare: Odisha couple returned from Canada admitted to Bolangir hospital

Bolangir: Amid coronavirus scare across the globe, a couple returned from Canada to Titlagarh has been admitted to Bhim Bhoi Medical College and Hospital in Bolangir. As per reports, the couple works in Canada. After receiving information that their uncle passed away, the husband and wife reached Titlagarh on March 11 to participate in death rituals.

When the husband and wife suffered from fever, they visited Titlagarh Sub divisional Hospital for medical examination.

In presence of Sub Collector Sudhakar Nayak and other officials, the couple’s medical examinations were conducted today. The local administration shifted the couple to Bhim Bhoi Medical College and Hospital later in the day.

The move was taken suspecting the couple being infected with coronavirus symptoms. Blood and swab samples of the couple will be sent for tests tomorrow, an official said on condition of anonymity.
