COVID-19: 3 more including one from Cuttack test positive, Odisha tally at 173

Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s Cuttack district reported a fresh COVID-19 case after more than a month while two persons from Balasore district tested positive for the virus taking the tally in the state to 173, official sources said today.

The three new cases have been identified as a 34-year-old man (Surat returnee) of Tigiria, Cuttack, a 50-year-old woman, and a 26-year-old man of Balasore district (both West Bengal returnees). Contact tracing and followup action are being done, sources said.

With this, the number of active cases in the state mounted to 112 while 60 patients have recovered so far. Worth mentioning, the last positive case was reported in Cuttack on April 3. With the new case from the district, the number of cases in Cuttack reached 2.
