Covid vaccine shortage in Odisha; no vaccination session in these districts for June 30

Bhubaneswar: The Health and Family Welfare department today said no session for Covid vaccination has been planned for 11 districts of the State on Wednesday.

The districts, where the vaccination campaign will be discontinued for tomorrow, are Angul, Balangir, Balasore, Bhadrak, Dhenkanal, Ganjam, Jajpur, Jharsuguda, Kendrapara, Koraput and Sonepur.

A total of 210 vaccination sessions has been planned in the state for tomorrow. Of them, 68 sessions will be in Bhubaneswar.

Since June 21, the lowest numbers of sessions will held on June 30 due to stock out situation of Covishield vaccine in the State. For June 30, availability of Covishield vaccine is 38,380 doses.

The department further stated the next allocation of Covishield is expected on July 2.

On June 29, 2021, a total of 38,280 doses of Covishield and 3,51,220 doses of Covaxin were made available by the Government of India to the State.
