“They have murdered Dipu and Om in Odisha and have disposed off their bodies outside Odisha. Our investigation is at a very crucial stage. Within a day or two we will be able to extract more information from them,” said Khurania briefing newsmen here.

Both Dipu and Om who were associates of D-brothers had mysteriously gone missing since November 12, 2013.

Khurania said Dipu and Om were working for the D-brothers since 2000. They were involved in various criminal activities including tender fixing. They also worked as sharpshooters for the D-brothers. For some reason they had differences with the D-brothers in 2013 and since then they went missing, he added.

Notably, Dipu’s father Adwaita Mallick had first tried to lodge a complaint with the police, on police refusing to register the complaint he had registered a case at the SDJM Court, Cuttack alleging that his son was murdered by D-brothers after police.

The Commissionerate Police arrested Sushant Dhalasamanta and Sushil Dhalasamanta from a rented house in Pokhariput area here on  January 29 on the basis of Adwaita’s FIR at the Chauliaganj police station following directions from the court.

The Commissionerate Police during search at the rented flat of the D-brothers at Visakhapatnam had come across a photograph and driving license of Dipu.

“I want my son’s body. I want justice. There are several others who have been killed in similar manner. People are scared to speak out. I want my son’s killers to be hanged till death. Had the police registered my complaint, they would have been arrested much before,”said Adwaita in his reaction on the Police Commissioner’s briefing.

“I want death penalty for the killers of my son,”said Dipu’s mother on police confirming her son’s death.
