Documentary on veteran Odisha journalist Basant Das released

A documentary film capturing the life and achievements of veteran Odisha journalist Basant Das was released on his 75th birthday by former Assam Governor JB Pattnaik here today.
An autobiography written by the veteran journalist was also released on the occasion.
The documentary highlights the life of the journalist since his childhood and covers his early education, professional career, international visits, laurels and association with social and professional organizations.
Editor, Sambad, Soumya Ranjan Pattnaik, columnist Haraprasad Das, veteran journalist Pradosh Pattnaik, TMC leadet Arya Kumar Gyanendra, former VC of Culture University Dr Bimalendu Mohanty, composer and writer Prafulla Kar were among those present on the occasion.
While the film has been directed by Ashok Balabantaray and Moulikanta Mishra, it has been conceptualized and produced by known features writer, journalist and filmmaker Nilambar Rath.
Released under banner of ‘Digital Village’, the documentary was screened and applauded by the audience.
