According to reports, the elderly couple’s bodies were found under mysterious circumstances pointing fingers towards possible murders of the duo. While the body of the 65-year-old Bhagaban Das was found inside the cowshed, his wife—Marua– was found dead in her bedroom.

Prima facie, it appears to be a case of murder as blood stains were found inside the house, a police official said.

The bodies have been sent for post-mortem and we are investigating the case. The autopsy report will throw light on the cause of deaths, he added.

Meanwhile, police have detained the son of the deceased, who works in an automobile workshop at Aul, for questioning.

According to locals, the son had visited his house late yesterday night and left for his workplace after a couple of hours. He could have murdered his parents.

On the other hand, the accused claimed that his father could have committed suicide as he suffered losses in business.
