Gangster Tito link: BJP leader deposes before Odisha CB

Bhubaneswar: BJP leader and party’s State Committee member Bhuban Mohan Jena today appeared before the Special Task Force (STF) of the Odisha Crime Branch (CB) for questioning in connection with the allotment of a petrol pump in Kendrapara and ad hoc dealership of Company Owned Company Operated Retail Outlet (COCO) in Paradip to the relatives of arrested gangster Usman Ali alias Tito.

Jena was reportedly grilled for over an hour by the investigating officers. Protesting the interrogation, several BJP workers gheraoed the office of the agency here.

The STF had earlier summoned Jena to appear before it on March 7 (today).

During investigation, it was found that Jena is acquainted with the facts and circumstances regarding allotment of petrol pumps in the name of the relatives of Tito in Kendrapara and Paradip, DSP, STF, T K Mohanty had said.
