Odisha: Girl student of residential school dies under mysterious circumstances

Soro: A 14-year-old girl student of Purubai Kanyashram located in Soro area of Odisha’s Balasore district was found dead under mysterious circumstances in her hostel this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Hemangibi Hansdah of Kumarpur village. On the other hand, another girl student of the residential school has been admitted to the Soro hospital in a critical condition.

Though it is suspected that the girl died due to food poisoning, the exact reason behind the death can be ascertain after the post-mortem, said Debi Prasad Das, Tehsildar, Soro.

Police have registered an unnatural death case into the incident and initiated investigation.

Meanwhile, the school authorities have failed to give satisfactory answer in connection with the incident, which has brought them under the scanner.
