Group clash erupts in Kendrapara Autonomous College in Odisha

A group clash erupted in Kendrapara Autonomous College here today over laying of foundation stone of a mini stadium by local MLA Kishore Chandra Tarai.

According to reports, MLA Tarai was today scheduled to lay the foundation stone of a mini stadium of the college for which the University Grants Commission (UGC) had sanctioned funds.

However, some Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP)-backed student leaders opposed it and locked the main gate of the college.

Tension gripped the college campus following the incident as the student group supported by the MLA clashed with the ABVP-backed students.
