Heavy rainfall in south Odisha over next 24 hours

The local Met office has forecast heavy rainfall at one or two places over south Odisha in the next 24 hours.

In a bulletin issued shortly after noon, the Met office said the low pressure area formed over north-west Bay of Bengal and adjoining coastal areas of Odisha and west-central Bay of Bengal yesterday was lying over west-central Bay of Bengal off north coastal Andhra Pradesh and south Odisha Coasts at 8.30 AM today.

Under its influence, rain or thundershower would occur at many places over Odisha while heavy rainfall may occur at one or two places over south Odisha during next 24 hours.

However, there is no warning for the fishermen, the release said.
