Huge quantities of explosives seized in Jharigaon

Nabarangpur, Mar 15:

Security personnel belonging to the BSF and Odisha police  have recovered huge quantities of explosives and Naxal-related articles during search operations in the Jharigaon reserve forest in Odisha’s Nabarangpur District, BSF sources said here today.

Sources said security forces seized two SBML Guns, 41 electric detonator, 500 gms nails, a 3 litre steel cane, 30kg ammonium nitrate, 1.5 kg charcoal, flexible wires, 250 gms sulphur and 100 gms potassium permanganate during the search operation in the Jharigaon reserve forests near Gaurjhariya village under Chandahandi police station.

Search operations were conducted jointly by the jawans of the 77 battalion of BSF and Odisha police on Friday, the sources added.
