Iconic Adarsh Vidyalaya to be established in Bhubaneswar: Minister Samir Dash

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government will establish an Iconic Adarsh Vidyalaya in the capital city, for which foundation stone will be laid on September 5 on the occasion of Teachers’ Day, informed School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash today.

The higher secondary school for classes 11 and 12 will be built on 25 acres of land in Andharua here at an expenditure of Rs 100 crore, the minister said.

While the project is likely to be completed in 2022, the first batch of students (500 in numbers) shall take admission from 2022-23 academic year. Meritorious students from 314 Adarsh Vidyalayas across the state will be selected for studying in the school, said Dash.

All expenses of the boarding school will be borne by the government, he added.
