KISS archery team leaves for national varsity meet

A six-member team of Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) of KIIT University has left for Chandigarh to participate in the All India Inter University Archery Championship 2013-14 beginning at Punjab University from January 18. The five-day event would conclud on January 22.

The team members are Babuli Hembram, Taranisen Naik, Ghanashyam Salim, Sudarshan Tiu, Mantu Swain and Shyam Murmu. The team is accompanied by coach Rajesh Hasdak.

Besides, a 12-member Netball team of KISS has left for Raipur to participate in the All India Inter University Netball Tournament beginning at Pandit Ravi Shankar Shukla University from January 18.

The Netball team of KISS will represent KIIT University in the four-day event that would conclude on January 21.

The team: Madhu Chopear, Lasa Marandi, Sanjay Kumar Murmu, Tikeswar Majhi, Tapan Barina, Bhabagrahi Bhoi, Saroj Gainta, Gopabandhu Kumura, Hirendra Majhi, Narahari Dehury, Premlal Majhi and Siba Prasad Marandi.

The team is accompanied by coach Manisha Tarasia and sports teacher Debasis Rout.
