Kotia jurisdiction dispute: SC directs Andhra Pradesh to file response; next hearing on Feb 19
Bhubaneswar: The Supreme Court today directed Andhra Pradesh Government to file a response to a contempt petition filed by Odisha alleging that the former is holding Gram Panchayat elections in Kotia of Koraput district by violating orders of the apex court.
“We are not passing any order right now. First you go through this application and file your response,” said a Bench headed by Justice AM Khanwilkar to Advocate Mahfooz A Nazki, appearing on behalf of Andhra Pradesh.

The matter will be next be heard on next February 19 (Friday).
Further, the Bench directed the petitioner to serve an advanced copy of the petition to the Standing Counsel of Andhra Pradesh.
