Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today directed for expansion of terms of reference of judicial inquiry into the Kunduli incident.
“The circumstance leading to alleged committing of suicide by the minor girl will be added to existing terms of reference,” the Chief Minister’s Office tweeted. The judicial probe was notified on December 26, 2017.

The CM’s move comes after the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) ordered for a probe into the matter besides seeking a report in this regard within 15 days.
Notably, a minor tribal girl of Sorisapadar village, who was allegedly gang raped by a group of security personnel on October 10 last year when she was returning from Kunduli market near the village in Koraput, committed suicide at her house on January 22. The incident had triggered massive public outrage across the state.
