Locals block NH-215 in Odisha’s Keonjhar over trader’s murder

Locals blocked National Highway (NH)-215 at Khalana Chhak under Ramchandrapur police limits in Keonjhar district of Odisha this morning over the murder of a trader.

Vehicular movement between Panikoili and Keonjhar was disrupted due to the blockade.

According to reports, Sushant Kumar Sahu, a cement trader, was allegedly hacked to death by unidentified miscreants last night when he was asleep inside his shop at Khalana Chhak.

His body was found in a pool of blood this morning following which the irate locals staged the road blockade.

Police have started investigation into the incident.
