Man drowns to death in Jajpur district of Odisha

Jajpur, Sept 6:
In a tragic incident, a man drowned to death in a pond in Jajpur district of Odisha on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Gajendra Samal (58) of Naurpur village under Korai block in the district.
According to reports, people noticed a person was drowning in Chandan water body in the village about 10 am this morning and contacted the nearest fire office.
Fire brigades rushed to the spot and recovered the body from the pond.
Later, police reached the scene and sent the body for post-mortem to Danagadi Community Health Centre.
Police are probing into the mishap after registering an unnatural death case.
