“The accused BJD workers are yet to be arrested. Protesting police inaction in the matter and demanding arrest of the culprits, the district BJP unit has given a 12-hour bandh call in Boudh tomorrow,” said district BJP president Soumitri Nayak.

“In order to make the bandh a successful one, we have urged people to extend their support towards the party,” Nayak added.

Notably, several BJD supporters, including an MLA, had allegedly thrashed some BJP workers after the latter showed black flags to Ministers Sanjay Das Burma and Pushpendra Singh Deo at Manamunda.

Protesting the attack, the BJP had observed a 12-hour bandh in Boudh on July 30.
