The deceased identified as Bhima Padiami from Dandipadar village under Mathili block was abducted by the ultras on October 18.

After being held in captivity for close to a week, the villager has been killed.

Bhima’s body was found this morning with throat slit.

It may be recalled that the members of the outlawed group had abducted two villagers from Mundaguda village in Kamarpalli panchayat under Mathili block in the district on October 16 suspecting them to be police informers.

Around 15-20 armed rebels had stormed into the village and took away the duo– Sina Madhi and Dambaru Sagadia–from their houses on gun point. Both of them were badly beaten up when they resisted the rebels. While one of them escaped from their clutches, Dambaru’s body was found with throat slit near Kansariputa square three days after his abduction.
