Metro TV’s Editor held for spreading misinformation against DAV School

Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate of Police arrested Metro TV’s Editor for allegedly spreading misinformation on social media against DAV Public School.

On basis of a complaint lodged by the DAV Public School authorities few days back, the Chandrasekharpur Police summoned Metro TV’s Editor, Prakash Rath.

Despite repeated notice to Rath, he failed to depose before the police. Also, he did not cooperate in the police investigation and continue to write against the DAV Public School on social media.

After registering a case against Rath under Section 467, 469, 500, 504 of IPC and Section 67 of IT Act, the Chandrasekharpur Police arrested Rath today. He has been forwarded to the court.
