Mild earthquake hits Odisha’s Koraput

Bhubaneswar: A mild earthquake of 3.8 magnitude on Richter Scale struck Odisha’s Koraput district, this morning.

As per the National Center for Seismology, the earthquake took place at 5.05 AM with a depth of 5 km.

The epicentre of the earthquake was located 129 km east of Jagdalpur in Chhattisgarh.

Fortunately, no casualty or damage of properties have been reported.

The tremors were felt in Narayanpatna, Laxmipur and Bandhugaon areas as people rushed out of their houses in fear.
