Minor boy loses fingers in battery explosion in Odisha

Bhadrak: A minor boy lost his three fingers while another boy sustained injuries in a battery explosion at Tarasuni village under Tihidi police limits in Odisha’s Bhadrak district, last night.

The victims, identified as a student of class-IV and a student of class-VI, were recharging a battery of a microphone when it exploded severing three fingers of right hand of the class-IV student.

The duo was initially rushed to the Tihidi Community Health Centre (CHC) and later shifted to the Bhadrak District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) for better treatment.
