Miscreants loot Rs 5 lakh from panchayat official at gunpoint in Odisha

Unidentified miscreants looted Rs 5 lakh from a panchayat official near Kaleipada in Odisha’s Angul district this morning.

According to reports, two bike-borne looters intercepted Khinda panchayat official Prasanta Sahu when he was on his was to Khinda from Angul carrying Rs 5 lakh meant for distribution of pension.
They later threatened Sahu at gunpoint and looted the money from him.
A complaint in this regard has been filed at Angul police station.
Police have started investigation into the incident.
