Missing girl’s body found

Bhubaneswar, Oct 3:

The Lingaraj police on Thursday fished out the body of a six-year old girl which was found floating in the Bindusagar tank at in the old town area under the Lingaraj police limits.

The deceased was later identified as Kasturi Patra, daughter of Sambhari Patra, a resident of the  Old town area.

Police sources said the family of the deceased had lodged a complaint in the Lingaraj police station on Wednesday saying  their daughter had gone missing after she left the house to play with her friends.

“Acting on the complaint, we had initiated an inquiry into the matter. The body of the deceased was spotted at the Bindusagar tank this afternoon. An unnatural death case has been registered in this connection”, Lingaraj police said.
