Odisha CM inaugurates sewage treatment plant in Cuttack

Cuttack: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today inaugurated the sewage treatment plant at CDA Sector-1 here. The plant is expected to give a boost to the millennium city in sanitation management.

The advanced sewage treatment plant completed with a budget of Rs 110 crore has a capacity of 3.60 crore litres per day, official sources said.

More than 275 km of sewage pipeline network has been completed under the project. Drainage pumping station at Police Colony here with discharge capacity of 72 lakh litres per hour has also been completed.

The CM also laid foundation stone for Maulana Azad National Urdu University campus at CDA Sector-13 here. The varsity will offer polytechnic and ITI courses in the first phase.
