Odisha CM writes to Gadkari over completion of NH-203

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today wrote to Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways seeking his intervention over completion of remaining work of four laning of Bhubaneswar-Puri section of NH-203.

“The road is extremely important from the point of view of tourism as it connects the state capital with the holy city of Lord Jagannath. The project was earlier envisaged for completion before Nabakalebara Festival in July last year. In this connection my letter on July 10, 2014 may please be referred to,” Naveen wrote in his letter to Gadkari.

More than 70% works were completed and inauguration of the road was also done by you on July 9, last year before the Rath Yatra. Toll collection on the partially completed road has also been continuing from mid-October with full administrative support from the stateIt is observed that the balance works of Chandanpur road overbridge (ROB) and Puri bypass have not been resumed after the Rath Yatra causing traffic inconvenience and public discontentment, he added.
