Odisha comedian selling vegetables during COVID-19 lockdown for sustenance

Bhubaneswar: As the novel coronavirus has dent the earnings of people, many are struggling to make their ends meet. The regional entertainment industry is also dealing with its own share of adversities.

Ollywood’s comic actor Rabi Kumar is out on the streets of the State capital, selling vegetables to earn his living. While the lockdown period is being served, Rabi has set his vegetable vending shop on a roadside in Nuagaon area.

As per information, apart from selling in Nuagaon area, the actor maintains a routine of making door to door deliveries of greens in the morning hours, selling mushrooms in the afternoons and eggs in the evenings. Rabi makes sure to treat his customers with his comic skills and some awareness reminders while he sells them the essentials. He also provides them soap and water to wash their hands before purchasing the vegetables.

According to the actor, this is his tiny attempt to create awareness among the locals regarding the COVID-19 threat and people are seemingly liking it.
It is pertinent to mention that Rabi has worked in more than 50 films, 10 daily soaps and multiple video albums so far, in his career. Putting that aside, the actor chose to sell greens to earn for his family in these crucial times.
