In his reply on the issue, Patnaik said arrangements had been made for the conduct of the written test for recruitment of constables in Odisha Police in all the 30 police districts of the state, But after media reports of some questions having been leaked, the State Selection board conducted an inquiry and cancelled the test after it found that four questions of the test had indeed been leaked.

The Board cancelled the test before its commencement to maintain transparency in the matter, he added.

Patnaik further informed the House that the Board had already initiated steps for conducting the written test on a new date.

The House had witnessed pandemonium over the issue earlier in the day forcing the Speaker to adjourn the House several times. The Opposition had demanded for a statement from the Chief Minister on the issue while rejecting the probe by the Crime Branch.

While the Congress had demanded a CBI probe into the incident, the BJP had demanded resignation of the Chief Minister.
