Odisha districts to witness light to moderate rain or thunderstorm on October 18

Bhubaneswar: With cyclonic circulation lying over Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining Andaman Sea extending up to 4.5 km above mean sea level, light to moderate rain or thunderstorm is very likely to occur at one or two places over 11 districts of Odisha during the next 24 hours, India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre here forecasted today.

Temperature Forecast- No large change both in Maximum and Minimum temperature over the districts of Odisha during the next five days.

In its evening bulletin, the IMD mentioned, “The highest maximum temperature of 36.2°C was recorded at Paralakhemundi and the lowest minimum temperature of 16.5°C was recorded at Phulbani in the plains of Odisha.”

For Tuesday (Valid up to 0830 hrs IST of 18.10.2023)

Light to moderate rain or thunderstorm is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Ganjam, Gajapati, Koraput and dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.

For Wednesday (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 18.10.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 19.10.2023)

Light to moderate rain or thunderstorm is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Puri, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.
