Odisha exempts these people coming to State from producing Covid –ve report

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government today announced there is no need for persons coming to the State associated with relief, repair and restoration work to produce RT-PCR negative test report and Covid final vaccination certificate. The decision has been taken in view of the forecast of weathermen mentioning possible landfall of Cyclone Yaas in Odisha.

In an order, the Special Relief Commissioner also stated persons visiting the State for relief, repair, restoration and any other associated activities of cyclone management are also exempted from any type of quarantine rule.

However, they will have to carry authorisation document in hard copy or in electronic form from the concerned authority for any cyclone management work and produce it to the police/ administrative authority while entering the State as well as during their movement in the State.

The weathermen predicted the Cyclone Yaas is likely to make a landfall around Balasore district on May 26. The wind speed will be up to 185 kmph during the landfall, they added.
