Odisha girl ends life over poor results in Plus II Science exam

A girl of a private junior college today ended her life in Odisha capital as she got results not up to her expectations.

According to reports, the deceased—Minakshi Pradhan—was studying in a private junior college. She had appeared in the Plus II Science examination, results of which were out today.

While she got second division marks in the examination, she was apparently not satisfied with the result. She lost her balance and took the extreme step, sources said.

Despite her parents’ consolation, she cut short her life and committed suicide in the hostel room.

The teenager hails from Astaranga in Puri district.
