Odisha godman Sarathi Baba produced in court

Self-proclaimed Odisha godman Sarathi Baba alias Santosh Raul was today produced before the Special SC & ST Court here through video conferencing in connection with the alleged casteist remark made by him.

The godman was produced in the court in connection with Crime Branch case no. 17/2015.

“Sarathi Baba was today produced before the Special SC & ST Court here through video conferencing in connection with the casteist remark,” said Sarathi Baba’s counsel Rashmiranjan Mishra.

While no hearing took place in the case today, the court has fixed the next date of hearing the matter for June 6.

“The next date of hearing in the matter has been fixed for June 6,” Mishra stated.

Notably, the Orissa High Court had earlier issued an interim on the adjudication of this case.
