Odisha HC directs CBSE to provide answer sheet copies to another 300 students

Cuttack: The Orissa High Court today ordered the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to provide copies of answer sheets to another 300 Class-XII students who had moved the court alleging discrepancies in the board exam results.

A bench of the court comprising of Justice B R Sarangi issued the order to CBSE today after conducting the hearing on separate petitions filed by the students.

“The High Court directed the CBSE to provide copies of particular answer sheets as per applications filed by the students with it today,” informed petitioner’s counsel Asim Amitav Dash.

On the other hand, a bench of the High Court comprising of Justice K R Mohapatra fixed July 7 as the next date for a full-fledged hearing of the misc case filed by the CBSE seeking extension of time for publishing revised results of the 159 students who had applied for re-evaluation of their answer sheets.

The High Court on June 13 had ordered the CBSE to re-evaluate answer sheets of 159 students and publish their revised results by June 30.

With the High Court fixing July 7 as the next date for the hearing of the misc case filed by the CBSE, the Court has indirectly has allowed seven more days to CBSE to publish the revised results of these students.
