Odisha issues WhatsApp number for COVID queries

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government today issued a WhatsApp number–9937564066– for addressing COVID-related queries, an official said at a presser here today.

People can ask their questions between 3 pm and 3.30 pm while the same will be answered by doctors and experts at press briefings to be held for one week.

On the other hand, National Health Mission (NHM) Director Shalini Pandit informed at the press conference that over 70 per cent of the COVID-19 positive cases in the state are currently under home isolation.

“More than 50,000 Covid testings are being done daily in the state. Covid
recovery rate is 78% while fatality rate is 0.4%,” she said.

Considering the number of COVID-19 tests being conducted everyday, the positivity rate is low while the recovery rate is high, she said.
